This is one of my favourite films of all time and I've been fortunate enough to see both of Wraith's IB edits now. The editing is flawless - as you would expect from this legendary faneditor - however i am not sure this version using Morricone' score quite hits the same high mark as his Bernstein version.
Yes, the intention was make the movie feel different and fresh, but in my humble opinion this musical score actually distracted me from the story and i feel it didn't quite suit the narrative. This of course may be because i have seen the original so many times, or maybe because I watched the Bernstein version very recently, which i would recommended as a fresh IB take over this version.
All of this being said, it is technically superb and you can certainly see and hear how much time effort and love has gone into creating it.
