I stopped watching The Walking Dead mid season 2. Just wasn't my thing, too much drama and just boring to me.
But man oh man, this tv-to-movie is so good that i wish there was a second one.

This is a great type of show to edit. There's a great premise, a lot of good plot and action - but even more garbage. I still watch Walking Dead when new seasons come out, but I'm always disappointed. This edit did a great job of providing the good stuff at a reasonable pace and cut out most of the bad. True Blood is another show that could benefit from this type of edit, where parts of it are really good, but its just impossible to suffer through all the bad to get to it.

There were a few things plotwise that didn't make sense because of scenes that were cut. Glenn getting called walker-bait didn't really make sense in this version where he doesn't get lowered into the well. There were a few other things like that I noticed while watching, but forget now. They did not significantly lower my enjoyment.

At 3 hours, this edit is very long, but there aren't really any slow spots so it doesn't feel overlong.

I didn't see or hear any audio/video issues.

Absolutely loved this one. Will consider replacing any future Season 2 viewings with the relevant footage from Night of the Walking Dead. Having almost abandoned the show completely after the dreadfully slow pace buliding up to the "climax" which was the most predictable reveal of any suspensful plot that I can recall I can honestly say that the movie improves upon Season 2 in every way possible. The point in this film I thought was cut too short was when Rick was under the tank and had the gun to his head. He seems to change his mind too fast and abruptly climbs into the tank. I can't remember if he pulled the trigger and the round had already been fired or if he just changed his mind. This was the only "major" concern I have with this film. Although I loved Season 1 and feel it's worth viewing all six episodes in their entirity the rapid pace was something special and was a great experience. I am looking forward to repeated viewings of this film and will be recommending it to many. Well done and thank you for such an entertaining edit. Who knew the second season could be this exciting? Bravo.

my review of ranger613’s Night of the Walking Dead.
For those that have seen The Walking Dead, you’ll immediately love this. For those that have not seen it, well, what are you waiting for, permission? Oh, and if you have never seem TWD, stop reading now because there will be spoilers.

The first thing I noticed was the lack of Morgan, his son Duane and their story, which was good in the television program for story and continuity sake explaining how Rick went from coming out of a coma to being out on his own traveling to Atlanta, in a movie timeline, Morgan’s story was unnecessary.

One thing I really liked was not having to see Carol’s husband, like Morgan’s story, unnecessary.

Something that the TV program had too much off was the pointless walking around on Hershel’s farm, seriously, get on with the story already.

The well walker was fucking disgusting. I made the mistake of having lunch while I was watching this.

Glenn goes in the barn, Maggie gets her panties in a bunch, Glenn snitches and then Rick and Carl burn it to the MF’in ground after a crapload of talking and arguing about it that was fortunately removed from this.

Now I’ve probably missed things here and there that were excluded, I tried to get the bigger more noticeable ones since it’s 1am here in Toronto and I’m somewhat tired.

In my opinion, this is definitely worthy of being on the big screen, or in the very least, bought by and shown on AMC as a Walking Dead ‘special event’

Thanks to ranger613 for this fine piece of work. Now we wait for the season 3-4 movie. #NoPressureAtAll

"Night of the Walking Dead" is a great experience and I assume it's going to win Favorite Edit of the Month Award.

You managed to tell a decent and strong story with characters that we all care about. But told from different perspective. Till today I'm impressed how you managed to create the best possible plot staying true with "TWD" essence.

Still, I think next time you shouldn't start the movie within the first 10 sec. Try at least to add some credits like "Fanedit.Org & Ranger present" or something. And to make a proper credits opening. Yeah, I know I'm nitpicking but it's good to have a climatic build-up :).

Hmm, and it's strange to see randomly put end credits with Jimmy and Patricia actors names only. Next time create your own so that you can put the whole song ;).

I'm looking forward to see "Dawn..." And again, feel all these emotions.
