In a narrative sense, this edit is a masterclass in "showing, not telling."

In the original, the dialogue alternates between English and Comanche for some reason; the removal of many English lines improves the film and helps immerse the viewer in the society being portrayed. The numerous audio changes are an impressive achievement; none of the audio felt out of place or weird. Additionally, all of the (many) new video transitions are seamless.

This edit turns a film that I found uninspiring into something quite interesting by fixing/removing most of the original's bothersome issues. It’s better than the original in every sense.

I’m not a fan of the font used for the new title card at 0h05m32 (nor the original film's title card). The font also feels too large and takes up almost the entire screen. However, the other changes in this scene were great.

The new transition at 0h08m06 creates a small continuity error, as the mother's hand movements change direction abruptly. Still, the changes in this scene work well since the original dialogue was excessive.
At 0h08m50, I love the editing changes to foreshadow danger.

At 0h13m30, while I agree with removing the English dialogue, the scene becomes a bit confusing. Why do they stop, and why does the other guy try to check the wounded man? I think removing all of it (the few seconds when they stop) would be better, though it might make transitioning at 0h13m40 tricky.

The improvements to the CGI bear help to remove the "goofiness" of the original.
The Predator reveal is also excellent in this version. By cutting all the earlier CGI-heavy Predator scenes, the film refocuses on Naru and her tracking of the unknown beast.

At 0h34m37, the changes significantly enhance the scene; it works much better narratively.
I’d be in favor of removing the invisible Predator shot and the "Predator visor" shot at 0h35m30. The ominous sounds Naru notices at 0h36m02 would have a stronger foreshadowing effect without them.
Personally, I don’t think any of the "Predator visor" shots add to the story. Since the edit is focused on Naru’s perspective, the visor shots feel out of place. Most are already cut in the edit, and I think all of them could be removed, even those starting at 0h57m44. The audience can infer how the Predator hunts, and Naru’s reaction shows she understands it just fine.

At 0h39m50, while the focus is on the Predator yelling, the axe on the lower left corner of the screen has a weird jitter, like it’s in slow motion. This is an issue from the original, likely due to CGI. At 0h49m15, there’s another issue from the original where 3 riflemen appear to fire 5 shots from 3 muskets. Although other men are likely shooting offscreen (we later see a guy holding a pistol), the scene’s framing makes it confusing.

Overall, the entire battle sequence starting at 0h47m00 flows much better with all the fixes and dialogue cuts.
(Personal note to the Predator: if your thing is fighting with similar weapons to your opponents to prove you’re stronger… using 3 flying grenades feels like cheating.)

Starting at 1h05m17, this section is significantly improved compared to the original—impressive editing!
