Prey: The Implicit Cut

Idk maybe I was looking for them but some edits were noticeable. Like at 6:06 when she is about to smile but maybe using AI it's turned to her resting face.
And whenever someone spoke, their mouth is never shown to be moved. That was done to hide that it's a dub. But it became noticeable too. Made it less immersive.
I think editors should proudly accept it's a dub. Although there's not much of dialogue.
A couple of edits like 'We have him' 'No. He has us' should be kept in its entirety. No need to trim the beginning of the dialogue.

As the original was released i was surprised that i loved it generally with the exception of some exposition „dumping“.
Never have i ever thought about doing an edit for this myself but The Scribbling Man did and boy did he deliver!

At first i was skeptical about the dub insertion but it feels nearly natural and i liked it a lot.
The narration aspect of this edit is everything i could have hoped for. For me personally not one edited scene felt out of place or jarring. A cohesive storytelling through imagery as Scribbling Man intended it to be.

I‘m a sucker for good video bitrate quality. This edit delivers it but i would’ve hoped for a little bit more video bitrate. To clarify that’s just me and any casual viewer won‘t see any major differences!

Had a great time watching this. Editing is flawless and the narrative is great! I love the original as well but I have not seen it in a while.
This one adds more mystery to the arrival and the behavior of the predator. And overall less talking, more action in a way. Great job!

When I firstly watch Prey on Disney+, I liked it but this was not the predator movie I waited for.

Here the creator manage to correct entirely the movie, by giving it a new feeling with far more tension.
For me It's the perfect cut.
