REVIEW 101...and ANOTHER I thought I had reviewed...but had not...

PULP EMPIRE, more than ANY other edit opened up my eye to what could be done beyond extended editions, fixes and trims!

THIS WAS THE FIRST TRUE GAME CHANGER for me.

It was one of two edits that brought me back...coz I wanted to to dive in again.

The audacity, creativity, taboos and holy grails that this masterpiece just slices through is just astonishing.

WHO...in their right mind would not just tamper with a perfect film, but actually, turn it inside out, rescore it, change the entire feel, grindhouse it while actually making it even better (in its own mystical way), add a foreign language, GIANT CAPTIONS, and Ennio Morricone to boot...?!?!

When anyone asks me which fanedit they should start with, or recommend...PULP EMPIRE is my ONLY answer.

I'm not going to bore anyone with spoilers or the technicals...this is just perfection.

Seek it out...throw away your preconceptions....and go for the ride of your life.

I L O V E T H I S !! ! ! ! ! !

First off I know I'm a tad bit late to the game on this one. But c'mon just how many Star Wars edits are there????? Anyway I was sorting through some titles and realized I hadn't watched this one. I know it's in the style of a Tarantino film, but with the music score (Tarantino yes) I was hald waiting for Clint Eastwood to round the corner waiting to paint the town red. The mood of this and the split screens brought me back to the 70s and even the 60s. And with about 40 minutes cut, you don't even notice. Even though I don't do techie reviews I can see this took a bit of time and effort. I told a friend about this title, he's new to fan edits and sent him a link to watch. He's very curious about what he's going to see. My only knock is sometimes the music overtook the dialogue. Other than that on my popcorn scale of entertainment I will give this a 7 out 5 it's that good and enjoyable. Well onto my next title

This was a fantastic edit. As soon as I read the description, I knew that the samurai/western vibe of Tarantino films would be absolutely perfect for this, and it somehow surpassed even those expectations. I loved it so much, it even inspired me to make an unofficial sequel of my own to wrap it up. I'm not saying that to shamelessly self-promote, I'm saying that because the biggest compliment a content creator of any kind can get is that they inspired somebody. And if this inspired somebody enough to make their first fanedit, that's really saying alot. So thank you for this gift, my brother and I love Star Wars and Tarantino films, so we had an absolute blast watching this. Definitely recommend!

I keep it short as most of the reviews are highlighting the Quality enough.
For me this was the First Edit i saw and it was so much fun that i recomend it to everyone.
The Ideas used are funny and witty and hearing Stuntmen MikeĀ“s Care every now and than is so cool.

I suppose where I'm coming from will surprise no one, but I am a fan of most things Tarantino, and Empire is one of my top 10 (maybe even top 5) favorite movies. Naturally, I was very excited for this edit when I heard about it and wanted to see this one for myself! I'm happy to say that, despite my high expectations, I was quite impressed!

This edit pretty much is the epitome of "give 'em what they want." I wanted a Tarantino-esque version of Empire Strikes Back, and I got it. I could throw in my own complaints, but they're of the super nit-picky variety. Like maybe that stylistic choice was overused, or I wish njvc used a different song for that moment, or the narration on that part was weird, etc. None of my criticisms hold any merit to the edit as a whole.

Like everyone else has already said, this is a fun watch! Of course, most Tarantino films are fun to begin with, so I consider it as a compliment that this edit manages to capture the feel of a Tarantino film. I find that the emotion of an edit is often one of the more underlooked aspects of fan editing, so I always appreciate it when a fanedit gets the feel just right!

If you saw this ifdb page and it immediately sparked your interest, then by all means, go seek it out! You won't be sorry.
