Preparing for No Way Home, I decided to give this edit a try, see a different editor's perception of the film.

This was quite a surprise, with the removal of some jokes that didn't land and details that dont really amount to anything this is a very streamlined viewing of Homecoming.

The new scene created for this edit was really well done, during the lowest point of Peter's situation, a masterclass of the title of the edit.

This edit may not change anyone's opinion of MCU Spider-Man, but it does make it a much more grounded film, with the empahis of using one's power responsibly.

This edit was fantastic! I loved how you included Uncle Ben at Peter's most tense moment in the film. It makes the impact of Adrian Toomes car scene even bigger than it was in the original movie. The Danny Elfman music really added to the "If this be my destiny" scene, it really heightened the emotion for me! Overall this edit is perfect , whether you are a fan of Homecoming or not, you should enjoy this edit.

So, i never really liked the original movie. It always felt kind of premature. This edit aimed to give peter back some responsibillity and successfully did though. The editing is on point, nothing feels out of place. The elfman-theme is gorgeous. On the rest i agree with the other reviewers.

Nice job :)

This is a definitely improved version over the original film, although I must confess it’s still not entirely to my liking. First things first, Ben Parker’s death scene is extremely well-done and well-placed in the story, giving back Peter his core element of the character that is still sorely missing from his MCU version. I bet that anyone who hasn’t seen the original film and TASM would never be able to tell the difference. Bravo to Masirimso17 for that! Moreover, the use of the classic Elfman theme is always a nice touch, and hearing it during the rubble scene -so damned fitting- brought some manly tears to my eyes. As for trimming down some of the usual MCU humor, you will never hear me complain about that, especially when it’s so perfectly done as in the Responsibility Edition. There’s also at least one scene added with Peter and Liz, as far as I remember, which felt a little de-saturated, but I’m not very sure I would have spotted that if I didn’t know this was a fan-edit.

My main complain is that the film still remains too goofy for my taste. And I strongly believe that cutting out a joke or two more would have been entirely possible and to the film’s benefit. My prime example, the elevator scene: It would have been so dramatic if the ending of that scene was trimmed down, instead of having caricatures of people shouting down the elevator shaft, killing the mood.

But that’s just something according to my taste. For anyone who has already enjoyed Homecoming and is looking for something more, this is the fan-edit for you.

As a big fan of MCU Spider-Man, this edit makes some good changes that I like. I quite liked the Uncle Ben flashback, it was quite well-executed and smartly edited. I'm also glad the "8 years" continuity error is fixed, and the edit to make Toomes more ruthless was good as well. I always thought it was a bit of a cop-out to just have it be an accident.

I don't agree with every change made here, though. "I never liked how Tony kinda gave a killing machine to a kid", he didn't, they hacked into the suit to unlock those features, Tony wasn't going to let him use it until he was ready. That's what the entire "Training Wheels" protocol was for. Also, due to me and the editor having different tastes in humor, he cut quite a few of the jokes I liked. I also don't like adding Sam Raimi's Spider-Man theme to this movie, it makes it stand out as fan-made. Each Spider-Man theme is a part of that Spidey's identity, so mixing the themes feels wrong.

Not much else to say, it's mostly the same movie, just with some changes that I liked and some I didn't.
