I have just spent the last 3 and a half hours watching this fan edit from start to finish and I couldn't stop watching... it got to 45 minutes left... and I refused to even pause it because I wanted to see how this played out!

Brava Wraith! This was an impressive feat to say the least!

The editing in this is PHENOMINAL. I loved how all 3 films were interwoven together and nothing felt out of place and it definitely did not feel like 3 and a half hours!

I keep watching fan edits and this by far is the most impressive to me. I will always rate how well they are edited considering editors have footage that is already pre-composed and may have audio in them, and while I thought I could hear 2 audio tracks in certain parts, I still couldn't be sure and it most certainly did not effect my enjoyment of this edit at all!

I would 100% recommend watching this edit! Thoroughly enjoyed and will most definitely be having a watch party showing people this!

Thank you for an amazing job well done!

This is an incredibly ambitious fan-edit that combines M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable, Split and Glass into the 3.5 hour epic that is Split Unbreakable Glass. Wraith has managed to craft a singular, cohesive story that combines the narratives of the three films with spectacular use of flashbacks to keep twist reveals from the audience until the right time.
I love Unbreakable and was floored by Split when I saw it in theaters. I had been excited for a sequel to Unbreakable for almost 20 years, but was very disappointed by Glass. I only own glass because I got all three in a bluray set, but I've not seen it since the first time in theaters. This edit has given me a much greater appreciation for Glass and the story M Night was trying to tell. Breaking the story into chapters makes it much more digestible, so you really don't feel the over 3 hour run time. The use of flashbacks allowed for more focused story beats and managed to provide plenty of surprises for someone who has seen the films before. This combined epic really rectifies the issues I had with Glass. However, I think the ending is cut a bit short here. The final reveal still doesn't quite work for me, however that is mostly due to Dr Ellie Staple being a poorly written character (something I don't think can be saved in any edits).

A couple of audio transitions that were noticeable, but overall this is truly an epic.

Thank you so much for those comments. I'm especially pleased that Glass has had some redemption for you. Let me add, that this edit may not be the final word as far as Glass is concerned.

I really enjoyed this edit.

Per the recommendation of the editor, I watched it one sitting on a weekend.

Thematically, it works really well. The flashbacks, the character introductions all mesh so well. It was certainly a welcome and uniwue viewing experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Overall, this is a strong edit and I look forward to the Editor's future projects.

as someone who loves [most of] the 3 films from this mashup, i wouldn't have normally sought this out in order to watch it. it all came down to a review that i stumbled upon. though it seemed a bit TOO overzealous in it's praise (to the point i thought they must be his own mother), i had to admit that the concept was painted as incredibly intriguing. as a younger editor myself (just a few years, now), one thing i have going for me is dedication to seamless edits, & creativity. so i have a huge respect for faneditors that that provide at least those 2 aspects. Wraith was generous enough to share the link (as well as 2 others). and i gotta say, that initial review didn't seem too overzealous anymore. i was super impressed. i had originally hated the idea of not revisiting every single moment of the originals on future rewatches, but this new narrative.... while it needfully has to cut out some stuff, it does so in an appropriate way. the restructuring, refocusing, relabeling, and even re-revealing (yes, that's a word now) was just.... fucking masterful. what a mind-boggling puzzle this was to redo it in such a way, to begin with, let alone have that finished puzzle actually enjoyable to look at. this edit is not only a phenomenal way to watch the overall trilogy story (either for 1st time OR as a fan), but should be considered a case study inspiration for what fan-editing can achieve. genius-level mapping. Wraith has gifted me two aspects. 1) a new version of an already loved trilogy, that i will watch whenever that rewatch bug starts to bite. and 2) inspiration to be better, think harder, & work more diligently at what i do. may he never have need to stop this aspect of his hobby time.

Thank you for the review.

I am especially pleased that you find it so inspiring (as i did when I first saw Pulp Empire, which had the same impact on me to raise my game)...so I am very much looking forward to see your work. Feel free to PM if you ever need an extra pair of eyes or ears...

This edit sits in a weird place for me. The idea behind combining three films into one works perfectly here, and I had very little (if any) to complain about in that regard. The pacing was great, the title screens and music that was added in to supplement the structure was fantastic and flawless, and I rated it as such.

However, while I very much enjoyed Unbreakable and Split as individual movies, I absolutely hated Glass. The awful trope of the generic shadowy organization that was included in Glass just absolutely killed it for me. I could live with every single other flaw in that movie but it just completely derailed it for me (Hancock is another prime example of this, albeit slightly different).
I was hoping against hope that Wraith would find a way to remove all traces of this shadow organization, and I don't fault him for leaving it in (it would probably ruin the integrity of the movie if all those scenes were cut/trimmed) it DID diminish my enjoyment of the film as a whole.

I wondered if there was any way to start having more of the Glass content show up earlier in the film. It felt like Glass was trying to encase the stories of Unbreakable and Split (as intended) but didn't quite capture that element perfectly for me. It felt like I was watching Unbreakable and Split interlaced together, and then afterwards I was watching Glass with some extended flashbacks.

ALL THAT BEING SAID, all of the other flaws with Glass were trimmed/adjusted in a way to VASTLY improve the quality of that portion of the movie, and was improved even more by blending it with the other two films. I was also bummed to see so much of Split removed, but I understand the necessity, and I again do not hold that against Wraith, as the inclusion of any more of Unbreakable and Split would have obliterated the pacing.

Is this project worth watching? Absolutely. This cut made Glass tolerable enough that I sat through the entirety of it. Is this project greater than the sum of its parts? I think if you hated Glass less than I did, your answer will most certainly be yes.

Props to you Wraith, sorry if this review seems super negative, you have absolutely achieved greatness here.

Thanks for the review and considered comments. Shame that this could not redeem Glass a tad for you, but at least you were propelled through the journey.
