I was able to watch this as Jasonflippy worked on it and I thought he did a really good job at condensing the games down to a movie length. I think he achieved everything he intended to do with the edit and most of the original runtime cut feels like wasted time when you see the story condensed like this - I didn't feel like there was any enjoyable plot beats from the original show that were missing in the edit.

And while I do miss a few of the emotional family beats at the start and end, I totally understand why they'd be removed in such a deep cut. Those and the context around them - flashbacks, etc - might risk unbalancing the new tighter narrative flow, given the extra time and scenes it would require.

For all the viral attention the show was given shortly after it came out, it felt a bit superficial, so I'm glad to see a version that neatly trims it into a much tighter package - removing a lot of superfluous side-plot time-wasting (cop, organs) that tried to add narrative complexity but didn't really add enjoyment. Well done.
