I've grown to enjoy Discovery a lot more upon a recent rewatch, so I don't have as many issues as some do with that show. However, for Trek fans who don't have the time or interest in watching an entire season of Discovery to just watch the stuff with Pike and Spock, this edit is an absolute gift. It streamlines the whole thing, making it a perfect primer for someone who's watched the first two seasons of Strange New Worlds and wants more or for anyone who felt they were missing a bit of backstory and want more filled-in.
