Star Wars: Episode III - Labyrinth Of Evil

A MASSIVE improvement over the theatrical release. Anakin's turn to the dark side is much more believably portrayed. Spoiler: His obsession with Padme's death is turned into a much more believable smaller fear that Palpatine is using to manipulate Anakin. Such a well-constructed fix!

Well done cuts throughout to tighten up the storytelling. To be honest I think I only ever watched episode 3 a single time because of how poorly it was done. This edit is 1000% my go-to now, making the whole narrative of both trilogies come together.

Beautiful quality. I believe your notes saying you're on V6. I didn't notice anything with the visual or audio editing that took me out of the narrative!

Very much enjoyed the Labyrinth of Evil Cut. My favourite edit from Hal so far. The movie is super streamlined now. SPOILER ALERT: Cutting annakin killing younglings and padme living are some of the best choices here for me, loved it!

Good edit. I would say it is an issue with the theatrical release that Anakin's fall to the Dark Side is abrupt, and in this cut I think it is even more so. I watched the 'Padame Dies' ending, so perhaps that is also part of my sole complaint.

Really good edit, as are all of HAL 9000's prequel edits. #2 is my favourite, as it improves a weaker film into a very interesting one with pretty significant changes to tone and motivations. This third film takes the strongest movie and makes changes that are solid improvements - namely Padme's survival. Anakin has better defined motivations, and making his nightmares a result of Palpatine's influence was great. Solid cut, and keeps most of what worked. My one criticism: when Windu confronts Palpatine, the edit doesn't provide as good of an explanation for Palpatine's disfigurement since the reflected lightning is cut out. Now his face just changes, and you just need to accept it. Not a major gripe, and still an easy recommendation! Watch all 3 of these cuts, and thanks to HAL for his huge efforts making Star Wars even better.

I can't really say more than what's already been said, but this is now my preferred version of Episode III, I love all of the changes to the movie but especially Padme living at the end. It works perfectly and is what should have always happened for continuity with the original trilogy. Absolutely love all three of your prequel edits!
