I can't give enough praise to Spence's Final Cut(s) of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. I have always genuinely WANTED to love the prequels but still hated them. But Spence got rid of everything I hated and created better pacing for the things I liked. Ultimately, it's everything the prequels should have been.
For Episode III in particular, I only have one complaint. Since Anakin was made less whiny and volatile in general, his feelings of rejection by the council and his turmoil over his dreams of Padme's death-by-childbirth weren't QUITE enough to convince me of his sudden flip to the dark side. This isn't Spence's fault. Just not quite the right source material there. But this is the best thing you're going to get.
