Synopsis:
This cut concludes the story of the Definitive Anti-Cringe Cut of The Last Jedi. It removes plot points that go nowhere, reduces character appearences that do not move the story forward and changes the fates of key characters in the saga, once again providing some surprises for viewers of the original film.
Intention:
J.J.'s attempt at pleasing everybody resulted in an overloaded mess, that left both fans and critics of the previous installment unsatisfied. This cut attempts to bridge the gap by removing some of the retcons and "twists", reducing the roles of the new character additions, cutting back on the cringe and focusing on a satisfying conclusion for the character arcs of our main heroes (and villains).

Synopsis:
This cut concludes the story of the Definitive Anti-Cringe Cut of The Last Jedi. It removes plot points that go nowhere, reduces character appearences that do not move the story forward and changes the fates of key characters in the saga, once again providing some surprises for viewers of the original film.
Intention:
J.J.'s attempt at pleasing everybody resulted in an overloaded mess, that left both fans and critics of the previous installment unsatisfied. This cut attempts to bridge the gap by removing some of the retcons and "twists", reducing the roles of the new character additions, cutting back on the cringe and focusing on a satisfying conclusion for the character arcs of our main heroes (and villains).

Wow, I didn't think Episode 9 was salvageable - but this edit proved me wrong.
DonKamillo's edit is a great improvement over the Theatrical Cut, and fixes many, many cringe-worthy elements of the sequel trilogy and specifically Ep.IX. I cannot watch the TCs anymore, and will definitely keep the ACCs. The new narrative makes a lot more sense - The cuts and trims really streamlined it - but still suffers because of the poor source materials...
All in all - a highly recommended version, especially if you've given up hope on the Skywalker Saga.
DonKamillo's edit is a great improvement over the Theatrical Cut, and fixes many, many cringe-worthy elements of the sequel trilogy and specifically Ep.IX. I cannot watch the TCs anymore, and will definitely keep the ACCs. The new narrative makes a lot more sense - The cuts and trims really streamlined it - but still suffers because of the poor source materials...
All in all - a highly recommended version, especially if you've given up hope on the Skywalker Saga.

Not bad. There are definitely choices made that I wouldn’t make, but I also understand it is a continuation of your previous edit. Of course the biggest changes in these edits is the changing of who lives and who dies. And though I do like Han Solo’s scene, and you did as good as you could probably do with it within the new narrative, I just think you should’ve ended the scene when Rey leaves. Likewise you’ve done an admirable job with de-ghostifiying Luke, but it’s still not always convincing. A small quibble, but I’d lose Zorii in the final fight and celebration. You’ve diminished her role so significantly that it’s just a weird reaction from Poe. I know people love Babu Frik but I’d still lose it. It also looks as though it might be possible to trim the “I am all the Jedi” bit so that she just has the second saber in her hand already. That would make more sense IMO because as far as I noticed, she doesn’t ever lose it in this edit. I’m also disappointed that you apparently deemed a same sex kiss “cringe-worthy.” And I’m completely confused with the color change for the lightsaber at the end.
Now the way I review these edits is to nitpick while I watch, so that’s what’s above. Overall I think this is a very good edit, particularly if you like what was done in this editor's TLJ edit. The visual editing is superb. I don’t know if it counts as visual editing, but the special effects weren’t always convincing. I’ve already mentioned the Luke ghost, but I just don’t think the effects for having Ren land his TIE work. The effect isn’t sold and to do that just to get rid of Rey’s jump move I think is a bad trade off. I’d have to double check to be sure but there were definitely some music cues that seemed to cut abruptly. It mostly it as great.
The movie definitely feels tighter and is improved. A few choices make this difficult for me to fully endorse, but it’s better than the theatrical and if you're a fan of the TLJ Anti-Cringe, you'll likely enjoy this.

Ok so this one is tough. I really didn't enjoy the original of this but that said this is very watchable. Pacing is much better and If you can just think of it more as a side story and disconnect it from what was released then its certainly enjoyable enough. What the editor could accomplish with this source material is pretty remarkable. Bits are still hard to watch what disney did with such beloved characters but overall I would recommend this to watch.

SO I really hated this movie originally.
I still don't like it too much, but the edit really helped the pacing and story. The Luke force ghost an Kylo's ship (after it originally had crashed but didn't in your edit) looked a bit whacky, but the best you can do with this kind of already finished product ig. I think you could have also destroyed the "every ship can destroy a planet" part. Other than these minor complains the edit is really almost perfect, thanks for the great work don!

This edit can't save Episode IX as it is broken beyond repair but if you are looking for a somewhat enjoyable movie I feel like that's the best you can do with the sequels. This is the only version that I will be watching in the future.

I watched this back to back yesterday with the anti-cringe cut of TLJ, even though it was really late and I actually wanted to go to bed.
And considering how much I didn't like the original "Rise of Skywalker", this is quite the compliment for this fanedit.
It's still not a good movie, but it's far better than the original. Palpatine has been reduced to a minimum (I was kinda hoping for him to be removed completely and having him only as a mysterious voice, even though I know it's pretty much impossible.), Skywalker lives (even though he's a bit translucent every now and then. ;)) and then there were some other surprises that I really liked.
Great job.! This will be my go-to-version of the movie.
