A superb edit that takes all the best parts from the series and gives us a well-paced feature length movie.
Watching the original series, it was clear that a lot of padding and bloat was added to turn the planned movie into an episodic series. The story was uneven, the pace even more so, and I felt it was a huge disservice to one of the most prominent Star Wars characters.
This edit, which is of a very high technical standard, has dispensed (pun intended) of all that, and presented a coherent retelling of the story in its original intended movie form. Of course, some issues still persist, but these are more to do with the source material itself. That aside, the spence edit will be my go-to version for repeat viewings.
Thank you Spence for your efforts in redeeming Obi-Wan. With the 4K UHD disc release of the series, it would be great if we could get a 4K version of this cut.
