Samurai Cop is an excellent bad movie. But the soundtrack sucked and a few scenes dragged. So I added some good 80's music and removed boring scenes.

I watched this movie when I was younger and it was awesome. I watched it recently on blu-ray and was like wow this movie is awesomely bad. So I wanted to make an edit that showed what a gem it could of been... ha ha ha.

It was a little bit hard for me to get into Samurai Cop but this Fan edit made the film much more enjoyable for me, the added music was great, and the weakest parts were cut, but the ending is really weak, the editor could use a scene that was cut or something from Samurai cop 2, Still this version of the film is more enjoyable from the original, at least for me.

Sure, this edit is fairly simple, but all the better of it - "Samurai Cop" is an 80's gem, and by trimming the fat and adding those Stan Bush tracks, this edit made it the shining diamond of 80's shlock that it deserves to be.

What's commendable is that this edit mainly respected what was so good with the original and didn't change too much about it, making it a lot more enjoyable for people with a shorter attention span (which is mostly the state in which people see movies like this - not very attentively in the best case scenario, and completely shitfaced in the worse scenario).

In short, i would recommend this movie, if not just for the Stan Bush music, torn/blown off limbs and fake blood, and the complete lack of self-awareness, but for Robert Z'dar's magnificent Jaw. AND Samurai Cop's glorious mullet.

I watched this with a friend that had seen the original. I haven't seen the original movie.
First, wow, what a movie. I really like the music that was added, but I thought some of the stuff cut made it maybe harder to follow things. It seemed like there were a lot of jumps but it could have been the original movie so I try not to fault the editor since I don't know the original movie that well.
Over all I enjoyed this, but not a family friendly movie, and better with friends.
