Wraith should work as a professional editor in Hollywood or in any studio around the world, talk about talent. This version is so much more inclusive in every way then the copy that I own. The reconstruction is just flawless and I love all of the extra scenes. The audio is also just excellent. This film looks fantastic on a big screen. If only studios took such care and attention to detail before they release films. Just brilliant!!

I saw the version in 1960 when I was 14. After many years of waiting it is finally in my collection. I wasn't sure I would live long enough. Wraith should work for a Hollywood studio as this is a magnificent job. This will probably be the definitive version unless Amazon/MGM allows a full restoration, if that is even still possible. Don't miss this, if you have any interest in the original Roadshow Version. Kudos to all involved .

A few years back, I saw an "extended" version of this movie that was pieced together by some random guy. The quality was horrible, almost worse than VHS. I appreciated the effort but the result was not good.

Wraith's version here is extraordinary. The transitions from theatrical cut to extended scenes is masterful. The video and audio quality is superb. Now we have the true "extended" version of this famous and important moment in history. Thank you, Wraith!

I grew up watching John Wayne westerns. the Quiet Man and the Alamo were two of my favorites, thanks to my dad. i didn't know there was an extended version until i started reading Wraith's post about this. i can say i enjoyed every minute of this 3 1/2 hour journey. definitely worth the watch.
