Been a little over four years since I saw the original for the first and only time, so went in with no strong memories of its contents, watched the recommended (Trimmed Monologue) soundtrack option.
I am not a particular horror fan, but the ones I do enjoy are of the more unsettling type rather than explicitly shocking, this edit is an excellent example of such. With backstory excised (according to the cutlist and other reviews) some aspects of the plot do feel a little vague, but that fits in with following Eleanor and her state of mind. I'm not entirely sure if all of the phenomena portrayed could be interpreted as purely being imagined, maybe spooky old houses are more responsive to the weather!
Only two things stuck out to me, the "F" in "FANEDIT.ORG" is spaced too far away from the following "A" and it sounds like the audio drops briefly around 0:44:23, though I haven't been able to check this against the original yet. Looking forward to seeing the Implicit Cut, thanks Scribbling Man!
