A whole lotta fun.
Well edited, impressive splicing with Hot Shots in the middle there, good choose of footage for flashbacks, effective rescore. Sure, it has an AI Stallone voiceover that kind of takes you out of the movie when it mispronounces stuff or sounds like a robot, but an impersonator would cost money, and that breaks the rules of fan editing, so I don’t see how this could have been done better if the editor doesn’t know an impersonator who owes him a favor. John Rambo also becomes kind of an inconsistent character, his body language saying one thing, his narration another, and his flashback-self acting entirely different, but hey, it’s a great edit, the best I’ve seen in a while, if you’re set on Grindhouse like I was, none of that will bother you too much.
