Gieferg continues to be one of the (if not THE) most ambitious fan-editor around, and this one is a shining example. What a stroke of genius to use footage from Hot Shots II as the basis for creating the ultimate Rambo spoof/tribute movie. My only criticism is a technical one, that the mechanical auto-Stallone voiceover used here isn't quite up to par with Gieferg's hilarious newly written narration. I laughed plenty, but if somehow some more emotion could have been injected into the lines (a human impersonator?), it would have bumped the whole affair up another level. (Not to say Stallone isn't pretty close to robotic already, but Gieferg's writing here deserves the best.)
That small quibble aside, this one is an edit for all-time, my description can't do the insanity of it justice, just watch it, enjoy the ride and don't be surprised if you find you have somehow grown a sweet mullet by the time the final bear has been put down.
