Review Detail

I remember seeing this in theaters and it certainly being something I had never seen before. Though Michael Bay’s films usually aren’t very deep or subtle his technical capabilities are always very impressive and fun to watch. Transformers is also a good example of how to integrate live action with the digital elements well. Practically all effect shots having aged beautifully and none seem to take me out of the film.

This in contrast with much of the puerile or vulgar humour. This edit removes much or most of it and seamlessly at that. Had I not seem the removed material I wouldn’t have noticed it being gone. The original cut also being too long in my opinion benefits a lot from the shorter running time.

Overall this is a much better viewing experience letting the strengths of the film, it’s general positivity and the characters shine through. Thank you OlivusPrime for this very well done edit.
