Oh. yes.
Brilliant cuts.

Wakeup, you make the movie at least 150% better than it was before. Letting the focus be on Kevin, and Sam be a player in that story made so much more sense. You also gave Quorra her own agency, letting her be the main character of her own story. You dropped subplots that weren't necessary which helped the pacing of the plot immensely.

Very quality edits! There's a minor audio jump fade in the club fight sequence that is only possible to notice because a song is playing in the background, and I moonlight as a DJ. But balancing cuts so they make visual sense AND happen on beat sounds like a challenge and a half, and making the visuals make sense mid-fight is 100% the right call.

This is absolutely my go-to now and will completely open this film up for re-watches for me into the future!

Thank you for all your hard work in building this edit!

This fan edit offers a streamlined, tighter and Perfected ;) version of Tron: Legacy, reducing over half an hour of the original film without it feeling overly trimmed. By focusing on a more intimate narrative centred on Kevin Flynn and his son, the story becomes more personal and less sprawling. The edit particularly benefits Quorra, toning down her dumbness and instead highlighting her role as Flynn's apprentice and Sam’s future partner. The faster pace turns Sam into more of a decision-maker who adapts quickly to the new world and this cut operates more on "Do or Die" principle for him, rather than just a lost boy we have to watch find his bearings for two hours. That said, the edit sacrifices some key character moments and worldbuilding, making Sam and Quorra feel a bit underdeveloped but this lesser evil in this case serves the edit well for my previous point. The Daft Punk score was seamlessly altered, blending perfectly with the trimmed scenes. Overall, it's a fantastic reimagining for those who prefer a more serious and concise version. I especially applaud the intro into the movie and being in the world of Tron in 10 minutes. Great work Wakeupkeo, I am looking forward to your future edits and thank you again for turning this movie into something rewatchable.

A great reimagining of a movie that in its original form should have been as good as its visual and score. I can't believe there is over a half hour of the original gone and you basically can't tell at all. At a tight 90 it becomes a more intimate story of Kevin and his three children, which I feel like we don't see enough of in scifi. I wish there had been a few more character moments kept in so I felt like I knew Sam and Quorra better, but I still was invested in the story even so. I especially appreciated the toning down of Quorra's not like other girls/born sexy yesterday personality, and instead focused on her being Kevin's apprentice and Sam's equal. Sam remains a pretty blah character but with this new pacing he's now just a vehicle for the narrative and not an annoying person to be around for 2 hours. As with the original, I wish we got more worldbuilding that wasn't just exposition, more time understanding Rinzler/Tron, and more character development, but overall I enjoyed this immensely! It's a great success especially with what you had to work with from the original movie.

Due my students undying love of the excellent Tron Uprising cartoon, I've been forced to sit through Tron Legacy more times than I would have ever wanted. Wakeupkeo's edit has made that process much easier, thankfully. The structural problems of the second act remain a serious problem, but the first and third act really move and work wonderfully.

Tron: Legacy was one of those movies that I was immensely hyped for. Disney updating an old obscure property with modern visuals and having the soundtrack done by none other than the iconic Daft Punk. I was so Damned hyped for this movie back in 2010. Alas, after seeing this movie opening night, I was utterly disappointed in the results. Everything from the hilariously awkward CGI Young Jeff Bridges; to the cheese line ridden, dull as a door knob lead actor; and the 3rd act that comes to a grinding halt. Tron: Legacy was a complete misfire of an opportunity. I only saw this once in theaters and then never again. However, that Daft Punk soundtrack is still fire and the only good thing from the film apart from the visuals. All these critiques are nothing new, just lamenting here haha

More than a decade later, Redlettermedia (a movie reviewing/discussion based Youtube Channel for those that may be unfamiliar) did a Re:View of both Trons and talked more in depth on these items. Watching that piqued my interest once again of this movie that soured me so long ago. Looking past it's many flaws, there is almost a gritty rough (very rough) gem in there. The director of this movie had a vision which can be appreciated and the soundtrack is still some of the best from Daft Punk. However, those massive flaws still hinder this movie from being a rough gem.

That is where Tron: Perfection comes in. It streamlines the movie to give it a better flow, eliminates most the dumb cheesy one liners from the wet blanket of a protagonist, and saves the young Jeff Bridges for Clu and only Clu. It does this in an excellent execution. The 3rd act is still somewhat of a bog, but that is more on the movie itself and not the editor.

This edit is a treat and I highly recommend it!
