“This is one of the few films I’ve edited where I enjoyed it without any complaints in its original form too, and would encourage people to watch it that way as well. The edit doesn’t change the tone of the film or significantly alter the core plot, it just formats it in a way that fits my own rewatching preferences – removing some of the side plot and rearranging a few scenes. This cuts about 20 minutes off the film, but keeps the laid-back pace and quiet moments of the original, this isn’t an attempt to speed up a beautiful piece of art.”

This edit attempts to sync up the dramatized landing with actual landing footage and audio taken from the documentary Apollo 11 (2019), as well as making the whole sequence even more exciting with Hans Zimmer’s incredible soundtrack from Interstellar (2014).”
