This edit impressed me!

Wraith did a great job putting these together in a way that feels like a single story, particularly the way X1 and X2 are essentially combined. I'll mention a couple nitpicks about that though. The smaller one is keeping the pan to the "school for gifted youngsters" sign as Logan takes the bike out (which I see pedantic-contrarian also mentioned). It feels out of place and is a giveaway that we're watching a new movie now. And I was definitely surprised to see it happen again later. The bigger nitpick was that there is a significant amount of time between Mystique injecting the guard with iron and when the Magneto escape happens. Not a big deal on its own, but since we see that guard bring Prof X into the cell (twice) in the meantime, it feels like too much in-world time has passed too.

From a technical perspective, the editing is well-done, draws from all the appropriate sources (I noticed those X-Men Origins Wolverine shots!), and includes some nice flourishes.

Overall, this is likely to be how I watch these movies going forward. Maybe I'll return to X2 proper on its own, but this is an improvement over the original movies as a trilogy. Although the video quality is low, I was able to get used to that very quickly, and I wonder if it actually helps make the edit feel more cohesive by making visual differences between the movies less obvious. Plus, the movie looks better to me on my small 1080p compared to the big 4k TV I watched it on.

This trilogy was one of my favorites growing up and is one of the reasons I have a deep appreciation for Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. It’s been a few years since I’ve sat down and gone through the originals but I still memorize most of it.

If I had seen this edit when it first came out I would’ve been in awe. A three and a half hour X Men epic. Sure the actual video quality doesn’t hold up by today’s standards (I’d love a 1080p remake of this) but it’s still doable on any size TV. I think the most impressive thing to note are both transitions between films. I couldn’t even really notice when they occurred and I’ve watched this multiple times now. Well done Wraith!

A vast improvement over the movies, it's a must watch and carries an x-men's fan seal of approval. The audio and video comes from a 576p source, so I cannot score it higher, but once you see past that, it's a truly enjoyable viewing and the only way you should be watching the trilogy from now on, solid narration, fun factor to the 11, good cohesion and great characters.
Hats off to Wraith for putting so many hours of hard work onto this project, can't recommend it enough!

Wow. I loved this!
Although I wish an HD version would be possible, this edit is fantastic. I normally don't want to spend too much time watching each individual movie of the original trilogy, and this is a perfect way to watch it from now on. I enjoy the focus on Logan and Jean, and the flawless transitions. I felt like I was not missing anything!

The rearranging of certain scenes and the deletion of others certainly benefited the development of the characters far better than the theoretical versions did and well Logan still gets a lot of the spotlight this edit manages to keep the other X Men relevant and give them enough screen time to show why they matter though Cyclops still gets the short end of the stick but that is the fault of the people behind the movies not the fault of Wraith, I was particularly happy to see the erasure of the love triangle aspect between Bobby, Kitty & Rogue as that subplot from Last Stand always annoyed me and made Bobby look like a cheater and made Rogue’s reasons for getting the cure questionable where as in this the bond they share with Bobby is more on the platonic side.

And of course Rogue choosing not to get the cure and find comfort in being herself was a plus and a great decision on Wraith’s part though I did find the shots of Logan speeding away well the camera panned to the sign of Xavier’s gifted school for youngsters and the shot of that tree outside the school to be a bit to repetitive though as to my favoured ending I preferred the second one as Charles surviving and Erik gaining back his powers built up to that moment in The Wolverine where Charles and Erik meet Logan at the airport quite nicely and potentially hypes audiences up for a potential Days Of Future Past fan edit where as the placement of the scenes in the first version of this fan edits ending confused me.

Though I recognise where there from and I do hope this Fanedit will be available in 1080 HD someday.
