Solution: Remove much of the comedy (including most silly faces). Trim caricatures (the ledge jumper, most of Danny Masterson's character, part of the bank's vice-president). Reduce juvenile humor (cut the false teeth). Reduce product placement. Add blu-ray bonus material of Zooey Deschanel's character opening herself up to new opportunities. After all, this lesson isn't just for one person, it's for both people in a relationship.
The result is a romantic comedy with a serious heart, not adolescent humor, at its core.

For me Yes Man's main focus is romance and life philosophy and the original movie didn't sit well with me with the amount of comedy scripted into it, because the main points of romance and philosophy of saying yes to life opportunities were diluted.
This edit makes the movie a light-hearted romantic comedy with a life lesson delivered in a manner that is actually taken seriously.
I will be keeping this edit in my collection and I am sure to be rewatching it in years to come, so I fully recommend this edit. Well done lapis molari.
(I have the same issue with Bruce Almighty (about life lesson, romance and the amount of comedy), so I would very much like to see that edit as well ^^)

I enjoyed the original theatrical cut of Yes Man. It's a good movie. Not great. But good.
This edit is, generally speaking, better. I would have left two of the jokes that laips molari chose to cut. The removal of those is the reason for knocking 1 star off. I was going to remove 1 star per joke. But then I thought, "No, man."
Anyway. Excellent edit. If you liked the original, you may like this more (I do). If you didn't like the original, this edit may change that.
