When I first watched The Batman, my instant reaction to the stadium roof scene was that it would be an excellent jumping-off point for Bruce to go on a journey of self-discovery and build himself back up as the Batman we know from the Christopher Nolan series. This would also allow me to cut the prison scenes of Batman Begins, which I've always disliked. So I decided to combine The Batman and Batman Begins together as a single film.

Intention:

I didn't think the gaunt, pale, emo Batman from The Batman was very compelling, so I reworked the character to be more in line with the Nolan series, with Christian Bale being the face of Bruce throughout. There were also a bunch of other conflicting characters that had to be cut or revised for this to work as a cohesive film.

Cuts and Additions:

The primary cuts throughout this edit are to dovetail multiple actors into one character, removing scenes, mentions of names, etc, so that the new catwoman is removed and only exists as a waitress, all unmasked shots of Robert Pattinson's face are removed, the new Jim Gordon is a nameless policeman, and the Batman Begins version of Falcone is a nameless gangster. The rest of this cutlist will be other significant scene changes.
