To celebrate Halloween this year, I am completing a very basic edit of Catspaw which converts the material to widescreen and restores the unused opening and end title credits music.

Mira Romaine is assigned to the new complex. On their approach, the crew encounters a strange storm, one that is intent on invading the new lieutenant!

Based on an attempt I made years back, this edit accelerates the pace of the episode in line with the accelerated aging we witness!

We focus on Kirk's storyline entirely until he finally meets Hodin and realises he is on a replica. Thus, we – the viewer – follow Kirk's story, and don't discover the truth until he does. This is one of the few episodes where I think doing something like this actually works, since the twist pays off nicely in an otherwise pedestrian episode. To me, it's probably the best way of attempting to gain something decent out of the episode – by having the reveal of the replica being a fake as much a surprise for the viewer as Kirk. Really, very little is lost by removing the bickering between Spock and Hodin, and we don't need to necessarily know how Spock eventually managed to beam down.

In the time of the Space Age, young Charles Evans is transferred to the starship Enterprise. Sole survivor of a crash eighteen years earlier, he is welcomed aboard with open arms. The boy, however, harbours a dangerous secret.

In the time of the Space Age, a Starfleet vessel from Earth arrives at the planet Triacus to discover their scientific group are all dead. Disturbingly, the children are unaffected.

The Enterprise arrives at the planet Ekos, in search of Federation historian John Gill, only to discover it is at war with its neighbouring planet Zeon. Gill is not heard from, so Kirk and Spock travel back in time to investigate what went wrong, and prevent the all-out war.

Not to be confused with DS9's 'Playing God', this edit combines Star Trek: The Original Series 'The Ultimate Computer' and 'The Omega Glory' into one extended episode, with the events of 'The Omega Glory' taking place on the planet that M5 orbits during the first half of 'The Ultimate Computer'.

An edit combining Star Trek TOS episodes 'The Way To Eden' and 'Requiem For Methuselah' into one extended episode, with the connective tissue being that the Synthococcusnovae disease and 'Eden' planet in the former, are now both represented in the latter, with 'Eden' being Flint's planet.

This edit combines together the stories ‘The Naked Time’, ‘Tomorrow is Yesterday’ and ‘Assignment: Earth’ into a three-weekly story arc, with each episode leading into the next, with the premise that the Enterprise is stuck in time, or is at odds with time.

After watching Pauley79′s “Trials And Tribble-ations – The Extended Edition”, I wondered just how far I could take what movie editing software I have on my home PC, so that I might start doing some Fanedits of my own.
